New scientific research on infant brain
development confirms what English Nanny & Governess School has been
saying for the last twenty-two years: Children are able to absorb vast
amounts of information from infancy. One third of all knowledge gained
over a lifetime is developed in the first three years of life. It has
taken almost a quarter of a century for science to catch up with
something we already knew. Our training curriculum is based on the
motto, “Education Begins at Birth.” Our motto doesn’t
stop there. We believe that children of all ages should be reared in an
environment in which they will develop intellectually, emotionally,
cognitively and culturally. English Nanny & Governess
School’s Certified Professional Nannies (CPNs) and Certified
Professional Governesses (CPGs) are trained to provide such an
environment. Our distinguished faculty teaches students
“educare”-the education and care of children. We prepare
our students through an intensive academic curriculum and “hands
on” training program. Our coursework includes: child growth,
behavior and development; cultural enrichment; child care and health;
safety and security; and much more. We receive applications to attend
English Nanny & Governess School from all over the United States.
Our admissions requirements are rigorous. We accept only students who
have a commitment to nurturing children, academic qualifications and
childcare experience We then conduct a thorough background screening to
ensure that every candidate can provide a safe, loving environment for
your child.
